In 2024, we were awarded with the Community Partner of the Year award at the Step2Skills Achievement Awards.
This recognition comes as a result of our successful collaboration with Step2Skills to offer training courses and workshops for council tenants.
Step2Skills is Hertfordshire County Council’s adult community learning and employment support service. They are work closely with our Resident Involvement team to give council tenants the opportunity to brush up on skills or discover new ones.
Recent sessions have included ‘Find Your Career Path’, ‘Understanding Shop Discounts’ and ‘Brilliant Boxes’. The courses can support employability, increase confidence using numeracy skills and help participants build connections in the local community.
Car parks awarded ‘Park Mark’ for safer parking
Our pay and display car parks have been awarded the prestigious ‘Park Mark’ accreditation under the Safer Parking Scheme.
The Safer Parking Scheme is a national standard for UK car parks that have low crime, with measures in place to ensure the safety of people and vehicles. Each car park undergoes a rigorous assessment by specially trained assessors, looking at specific measures to reduce crime and increase safety such as appropriate lighting, effective surveillance, and a clean environment. Addionally, The Common Multi Story car park in Hatfield and the Campus West car park in Welwyn Garden City have received Disabled Parking Accreditation for improving parking for people with disabilities and reducing the abuse of disabled spaces.
